Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts
- Stack and organize products in the appropriate storage locations
- Perform inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock levels
- Inspect forklifts before each shift and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and management to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting
- Valid forklift certification/license
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts including clamp trucks, cherry pickers, reach trucks, etc.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling procedures
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork related to inventory management
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required
